We have many video courses for each topic of English. It is like the English classroom on your device.

Each course has a number of video lessons for the topic. You can watch the lessons as many times as you like.

Each video lesson has links at the bottom to take you to corresponding exercises and quizzes.

Your course progress is recorded in your "My Courses" page.

You have unlimited access to all the courses as paid member. You may watch the courses as many times as you like. You can rewatch lessons again and again.

Quizzes

Yes. English students should learn theory with Video courses and then be able to test their knowledge with quizzes.

Quizzes are divided into 5 levels of difficulty.

With a free account you can do both level 1 and level 2 quizzes.

Paid members can access all quiz levels.

Yes. When you finish a quiz you will be shown your score, your answers and the correct answers.

Yes. Quizzes have two types of timers available.

In "Exam Mode", you have a 60 second countdown timer to answer as many questions as possible.

In "Training Mode", you are on a stopwatch timer that will measure how long you take to answer all the questions.

Paid members can use both modes and free members can only use "Exam Mode".

Yes. Your results are recorded even with a free account, but only paid members can see their results and charts.

Visit "My Results" page to see your quiz results and charts.

Your speed index shows you how quickly you answer questions correctly.

A higher speed index means that correct English is becoming automatic for you.

You will not increase your speed index just by answering questions quickly - you must answer questions both correctly AND quickly!

As your English skills improve, your speed index will go up. This means that when you go into an exam, you will be able to answer more questions correctly in a shorter time.

Your error ratio shows you how many questions you get right for every mistake you make.

Let's say you answer 20 questions in a quiz and you score 15 correct out of 20. That means that your error ratio is 20 divided by 5, which equals 4. Your error ratio is then shown as 1:4.

Your error ratio is based on your performance across every quiz.

Your Performance indicator tells you your overall skill level in English. It is calculated based on your average score, speed index, error ratio and other factors.

Your performance indicator should increase with practise and learning over time.

Yes. Paid members can turn randomisation on or off.

Randomisation will randomise the order in which the questions show up, and for multiple choice, the order of the answers.

We encourage students to use randomisation for training mode as it helps you to answer questions based on your understanding and not just memory.

PDF Resources

PDF resource sheets can be downloaded by paid students, printed out and written on with a pen.

What's inside the resource sheet depends on the topic it is for.

Some PDF resource sheets will have audio files included with the worksheet. You can listen to the audio files to hear the correct answers, or do the exercises depending on the exercise.
